About The Bishop's Ball
The question is often asked “where are the pastors or church leaders” during news broadcasts highlighting local tragic events. And while many are indeed involved in their communities, their efforts often go unnoticed.
It is our goal to recognize outstanding faith-based leaders (Pastors, Bishops, Apostles, Evangelist etc.) no matter their spiritual preference or religious denomination for making a difference in the lives of the people throughout their respective communities.
Realizing that most leaders are not looking for a pat on the back for the work they do, we strongly deem it necessary to create an atmosphere of love, appreciation and gratitude for the service of all mankind.
This year's event will take place on Friday, November 4, 2022, and will be held at the Shelby Farms FedEx Event Center in Memphis, TN.
Award Categories
Circle of Excellence Award
The Circle of Excellence Award celebrates one deserving individual who strives to make a difference in the world around them. Hence, this deserving individual goes above and beyond the call of duty. This person is a leader and a community advocate who works within their church and community without ever looking for a pat on the back. This person has a vision and exudes the work of Christ.
Angel in Disguise Award
This special award is reserved for a special individual who treats others the way they want to be treated and is careful to entertain strangers. This person is kind, considerate, unselfish, giving of themselves, their time and resources. This award recipient does not get weary in well doing and cares about justice for the poor. Without hesitation, this award recipient does the right thing when nobody is watching because it's the right thing to do.
Bishop of the Year Award
The Bishop of the Year Award celebrates the outstanding achievements of a deserving individual who consistently demonstrates exemplary leadership, economic and spiritual growth, compassion and outstanding community service both inside and outside the confines of the walls of their respective church. This recipient sets high standards for themselves and those around them; holds themselves and others accountable at all times; offers guidance, assistance and council to collogues, congregation and the community. By all accounts, this recipient goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Distinguished Community Service Award
The Distinguished Community Service Award recognizes and celebrates the efforts of one deserving individual who works well within the confines of their respective church home but also goes outside the walls and into the community. They are giving of their time, resources and more. They strive to make a positive impact on their community and spend a great deal of their time volunteering and making a difference.
